A medianoche, cuando todo haya terminado, la fortaleza quedará vacía y en silencio, tan solo habitada por los fatigados espíritus de los luchadores caídos.Sería un error entender esta obra como una simple novela de samuráis, en ella se conjuga lo mejor de la literatura clásica japonesa: pasiones, rencores, amor, odio y… muerte. Un soberbio relato sobre los más bajos instintos del ser humano y sobre las causas que los provocan.Una novela histórica que trasciende más allá de la historia.
